It's Bookmates' 30th anniversary!We were incorporated as a registered charity on May 2, 1984. This year marks thirty years of developing and delivering early learning and literacy programs and training across our province and beyond. Thank you to our many community partners for their valued support over the years - we look forward to our continued collaboration.The Very READ-y ProjectThe Very READ-y Project is a collaborative family literacy initiative of Bookmates and Manidoo Gii Mini Gonaan Inc. that supports the early learning community and families living in the Point Douglas neighbourhood of Winnipeg. With the generous support of The Winnipeg Foundation, the goal is to increase school readiness by introducing young children and their families to focused and intentional speech, language and literacy programming in a variety of community settings, while building on existing strengths.
