It envelops and interconnects every structure of your body down to the cellular level. The fascial system is also the primary communication system of the body. Fluid within and around the fascia allows it to act as a semiconductor, carrying and storing vast amounts of information around the body. In a healthy state, the fascia is relaxed, hydrated and wavy and has the ability to stretch, move and communicate without restriction. Trauma, poor posture, repetitive injuries, scarring, inflammation and/or unresolved emotional holding patterns can create a binding down of the fascia and cause dehydration of the fluid within and around the fascia
